Function Organised at Horizon School of Excellence to Interact With the Community and Parents

A function was held at the upcoming Horizon School of Excellence, Bhamian Road to interact with the community and parents of the area. The occasion was graced by the Sr. Deputy Mayor of Ludhiana city, Sham Sundar Malhotra, Councillors, important dignitaries of Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, prominent educationists and the local community.

Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Chairman Managing Committee, Horizon School of Excellence, in his inaugural address , highlighted the unique initiative of Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust in partnership with Gow Rakshni Sabha to provide holistic education to the economically disadvantaged children.The school will provide FREE education to all students with a preference to the girl child. In addition, it will also provide uniforms, books & stationery and a midday refreshment to students completely free of charge. The school will be affiliated to CBSE and registrations for the academic session 2023-24 are open. The school has already registered about 150 students for Phase 1 of the school.

With the vision to expand horizons of learning and nurture holistic excellence, he said, Horizon School of Excellence will empower its students with a solid foundation which will ensure bright future for them as also enable them to contribute to the economic growth of India.

President of Gow Rakshni Sabha, GL Bassi encouraged the parents to avail this wonderful opportunity as Horizon School of Excellence is the first school of its kind in Ludhiana city offering equitable access to quality education free of cost.

Principal, Jasdeep Kaur said the well-blended curriculum will give students the exposure to diverse co-curricular activities to explore their latent talents and develop their skills. A strong emphasis will be placed on activities that promote innovation, creativity, ignite new passions and foster values of social responsibility and self-discipline in a joyful ambience.

Vice Chairman of the school Bipin Gupta proposed a vote of thanks, which was followed by tea and snacks. An informal interaction of the managing committee members with the local community gave an opportunity to the local community to express their happiness and gratitude for this noble venture.
